- רִגְיָאm. (רגי = רגע) 1) the turn of the scale (Gr. ῥοπή). Targ. Prov. 16:11. 2) mean, medial sum. Bekh.11a עין יפה … בינונית בר׳ the liberal (redeems the first horn ass) with a Sela, the stingy with a Shekel (two Zuz), he of a middle disposition, with a ‘middle; ib. רגיל הכא ירגיל הכא הלכתא בר׳ … the law requires a rigia, and how much is this? Three Zuz, running this way and running that way.
